Optima Tiny Tennis (OTT) sessions for ages 2-4 years are the ideal introduction to tennis. I have played & coached tennis for most of my life & can testify to the benefits the game has provided me & the children I have taught. Tennis can help build confidence & develop self esteem. It's also a great sport for meeting new friends. One of the key benefits of starting tennis at this age is that it provides the building blocks for learning basic tactics & technique which can be used in Mini Tennis, the child friendly version of the real game for ages 4-10 years. Lots of OTT children have moved seemlessly into our Optima Mini Tennis (OMT) programmes displaying all the skills they acquired whilst on the OTT programme. However our Tiny Tennis programme is not just for aspiring tennis players! The toddlers will learn the basic principles of agility, balance & co-ordination which will prepare them well, not only for tennis but a whole host of other sports. There is lots of throwing, catching. rolling & striking of of balls, balloons, beanbags etc to help equip them with the skills required for tennis & these activities will also help the child achieve the Early Years Foundation Stage Learning Goals.
