No, although it does depend on the child concerned. Very young children sometimes like to see a familiar face through the netting to set them at ease, so in these circumstances I would recommend  that someone stay but only on a short term basis i.e for the first few weeks.. We have contact numbers for every child so in the case of emergencies parents can be notified.
